Business Resource Program

The objective of the Phase II Project Business Resource Program is to help minimize construction-related impacts on surrounding small businesses while acting as a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. The primary goal in the development of this plan is to put forward a comprehensively structured, yet customized BRP crafted to meet the specific needs of businesses along the construction corridor. The Phase II BRP will build on: the lessons learned from past VTA projects; proactive VTA policies already in place during Phase II preconstruction; best practices employed by similar transit projects in the United States; knowledge of the unique needs of the Santa Clara Valley business community; and the new realities of business services and engagement modeling during an extended period of recovery from an unprecedented pandemic.

Building Monitoring Program

As part of the Project’s environmental clearance, VTA must perform pre-construction surveys and monitoring on select buildings adjacent to construction areas to assess and develop a baseline of the current architectural and structural condition, perform monitoring during construction, and conduct post-construction surveys. Additional coordination will follow with properties identified as needing surveying and/or monitoring.
