Clipper on VTA
Clipper is an all-in-one transit "smart" card that you can load transit passes and electronic cash value to use on the Bay Area transit systems.
VTA is now in the final stages of transitioning to clipper. Beginning July 1st monthly passes (adult, express, youth and RTC) will only be available on Clipper. If you do not have a monthly pass on your clipper card then the system will charge you the cost of one single ride. If you are using an adult clipper card you will be charged the cost of an adult single ride. You must have a youth, RTC or senior clipper card in order to be charged the discounted single ride rate.
