VTA buses and light rail operate on Sunday/Holiday schedule for the following holidays:

  • New Year's
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

We also modify schedules for other days during the year.  See below for details.

New Years Eve - Saturday, December 31, 2016 Additional 181 and Light Rail Service Offered
* Express bus (except 180 and 181), Commuter Express Light Rail, and Limited Stop buses will not operate on these days.  Additionally, for the Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve, the DASH will not operate.

Reroute For Lines 25 & 73: due to Silicon Valley Heart & Stroke Walk 10/22

Night Utility Inspections Near Light Rail 10/23 - 11/11: VTA will be conducting underground utility inspections along North 1st Street. The work will generate minor noise and traffic impacts. There will be no impact to light rail service.

Santa Clara Pedestrian Undercrossing Construction 11/24-28: Construction and excavation work to extend the current pedestrian undercrossing at the Santa Clara Caltrain Station all the way through to Brokaw Road,
