Paratransit: If a person’s disability limits them from using public transit, they may be eligible to use the ADA paratransit service.

Americans with Disabilities Act: The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), protects the access of all people to public services including transportation.
Reasonable Accommodation: Passengers may request modifications in advance, or at the time they are needed.
Mobility Device Securement:Mobility devices must be secured when use on VTA buses.
Priority Seating: All buses and light rail vehicles have a designated seating area for people with disabilities and seniors.
Service Animals: Service animals (and service animals in training) are permitted to ride onboard VTA buses and light rail.
Personal Care Attendants: An Attendant accompanying a passenger possessing RTC Discount Card with an attendant symbol is eligible for the discounted fare.
Passenger Access: VTA buses have many features like lifts and ramps to make boarding easier.
Passenger Facilities:Transit center and light rail stations are accessible.
