The purpose of this manual is to assist and provide guidance to planners and engineers (designers) in incorporating stormwater pollution prevention methods to better meet the Construction General Permit (CGP) and California State Water Resources Control Board’s (SWRCB) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements, as well as their project goals. Use of this manual will aid the designer in incorporating stormwater features that meet VTA requirements pertaining to the treatment of stormwater runoff and post-construction water pollution and erosion control. The design criteria included also provides guidance for contractors during the construction phase of the contract so that they can better achieve permit requirements.
