Community Meetings Offer Preview of Proposed Biennial Budget
05/08/2023

As the VTA Board of directors prepares to adopt a new biennial budget for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, there will be multiple opportunities for the public to learn about what’s in the proposed budget.

VTA will hold public hearings and public committee presentations beginning May 10, through May 26.

Of primary interest may be that there will be no fare increases, and VTA plans to maintain full transit service levels, as approved by the Board under the 2023 Transit Service Plan, and originally approved in the 2019 New Transit Service Plan.

The full budget, as proposed, can be viewed at www.vta.org/budget.

There are two virtual public hearings scheduled for presentations to review the budget proposal on Wednesday, May 24 at 6 p.m., and Friday, May 26 at 12:00 p.m.

These meetings can be accessed through VTABudgetMeetings.eventbrite.com.
