Expect Large Crowds on VTA for NVIDIA’s AI Conference – Monday, March 16

VTA passengers traveling in downtown San Jose should expect heavier crowds on Monday, March 16, as thousands of attendees arrive for NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) at the San Jose Convention Center and nearby venues. The main keynote by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will take place at the SAP Center from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 16.

Green Line Service on March 16

To help manage increased ridership on the Green Line:

  • All regular Green Line trains will operate with two cars for added capacity.
  • Three extra Green Line trains will run between Diridon Station and St. James Station from about 8:00–11:00 a.m. and again from 12:00–2:00 p.m., as needed, to help move crowds before and after the keynote.
  • Riders may see trains turning back at St. James Station to provide more frequent service in the busiest downtown segment.
