Help Improve Walking and Biking Across the Freeway

VTA’s Across Barrier Connections Plan is identifying locations that need new or improved bicycle and pedestrian crossings over freeways in Santa Clara County. The project team has narrowed it down to a few priority areas. Now, we need to learn from you who know the neighborhood the best!

Join Us for a Community Walk and Audit. 

Together we will talk about:

  • Where and how the freeway makes it difficult to get around
  • Places you usually go to, such as schools, parks, shops, transit, and trails
  • Walking and biking environment in the neighborhood today
  • Where should this new or improved crossing be?

Event Logistics

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Meeting Location: 1st Street and Metro Drive (NE corner of 1st Street & Metro Drive)

*Attendees will fill out a waiver before participating. A VTA vehicle will be on site to help transport participants between audit routes.
