Beginning in 2023, VTA regularly will make Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits available for sale to eligible bidders. LCFS credits are generated by utilizing low-carbon electricity for transportation fuel. VTA earns LCFS Credits from the public use of EV Chargers, electric buses, light rail, and through the BART extension between the Warms Springs and Berryessa BART Stations.
Any prospective buyers must execute VTA’s Leadership for Energy Automated Processing (LEAP) Master Agreement for Purchasing and Selling Low Carbon Fuel Standard Credits in order to participate in the solicitation process.
