Portions of the Eastridge Loop Road entrance off southbound E. Capitol Expressway in San Jose has collapsed/caved in. This road repair project will limit further road damage, and provide a safer and more efficient flow of traffic to and from the Eastridge Transit Center and Eastridge Mall.
Construction will take place from March 21, 2022, through April 29, 2022. Monday-Friday, between 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, daily. Weather, scheduling, and conditions permitting.
Construction activities will include jackhammering, concrete removal, compaction, and concrete placement.

VTA will continue to operate its regular Eastridge Transit Center bus services. For safety, buses will travel more slowly through the construction area.
Detours
The southbound E. Capitol Expressway entrance to Eastridge Mall will be closed during road repairs. The westbound Tully Road entrance will remain open, but drivers will need to follow posted detour signage through the Eastridge Mall parking lot to access the VTA Park & Ride entrance.
