I-280 Soundwalls Project

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), in cooperation with the City of San Jose and the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), proposes to construct soundwalls on I-280 between State Route 87 and Los Gatos Creek.

Objectives

   The purpose of this project is to reduce noise by constructing soundwalls as an effective abatement

   measure.  

  Project Features

  The potential improvements may include but are not limited to constructing new soundwalls 

  along the following locations:

  • Northbound I-280 between the Caltrain tracks and the Los Gatos Creek Bridge...
