Virginia and Children's Discovery Light Rail Stations Closed. Bus Bridge for Blue Line between Tamien and Convention Center, skipping Virginia.
RIDER IMPACTS: Southbound Blue line trains will be able to go as far as Convention Center where passengers will need to take a bus bridge. Children’s Discovery will not have train service, bus bridge only. Virginia station will have no train service and no bus bridge.
Northbound blue line trains will be able to go as far as Tamien where passengers will need to take the bus bridge.
This will only affect the Blue Line for the entire service day on both Saturday and Sunday. The Blue Line trains will not be able to operate between the Convention Center and Tamien Stations. A modified schedule for the Blue Line will operate between Santa Teresa and Tamien – customers should be informed about this since the trains only operate every 30 minutes and they won’t be running at the same times as usual. Times on the north end will remain the same. The Bus bridge will operate between Convention Center and Tamien, serving Children’s Discovery Museum along the way. The Virginia Station will be closed for the weekend and will not be served by a bus bridge.
