In advance of the Eastridge to BART Regional Connector project construction, PG&E is replacing sections of their natural gas pipeline on South Capitol Avenue from Lombard Avenue to East Capitol Expressway at Babb Creek in San Jose.
Residents and businesses located within 300 feet of areas where work is taking place can expect to receive a notice directly from PG&E. A copy of that notice is also provided here, and is translated: PG&E Construction Notice-May 2021

Weather and conditions permitting, beginning on or about May 24 through July 2021. Crews will work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and Saturdays as needed.
Traffic
Intermittent lane closures, no parking signage in work areas will be posted. Please plan for minor delays when driving through project area.
What to Expect
If you are located near the work area you may experience noise from large trucks and equipment and smell a small amount of natural gas when the crew clears the line. For everyone’s safety, there may be a temporary interruption of service while PG&E connects the new line. PG&E will notify customers if there will be an interruption and will schedule a gas relight with you at your convenience.
