What
Year-Long Lane Closure on Montague Expwy Between S. Milpitas Blvd & Piper Dr. The right lane in the westbound direction closest to the Great Mall will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 14 to 16 months weather, scheduling, and conditions permitting.
Why
The lane closure will accommodate the construction of a pedestrian overcrossing that will connect the Great Mall area to the Milpitas Transit Center and BART station. Visit vta.org/montagueped for more information.
Community Impacts
Driveways will remain open. Construction hours are Monday-Saturday 7am to 7pm weather, scheduling, and conditions permitting.
There will be noise, lights, dust, and construction vehicles driving forward and in reverse with the accompanying beeping noise that is required by OSHA for safety.
