There will be an overnight closure of the northbound US 101 on-ramp from SR 25 starting:
- Sunday, June 8 at 9:00 PM

VTA will be demolishing part of the Garlic Shoppe building as part of the US 101/SR 25 Interchange Phase 1 Project. To ensure safety, crews will close:
- The northbound US 101 on-ramp from SR 25
- Lane #2 on northbound US 101
- Closures are shown in red on the above MI-4 map
The first 30 feet of the building will come down overnight. The rest will be removed during the day with no major traffic impacts.
Getting to Northbound US 101 from SR 25:
- Continue north on SR 25 past the closed on-ramp
- Turn left onto the southbound US 101 on-ramp
- Exit at Betabel Road
- Turn left, cross over the freeway, and get on the northbound US 101 on-ramp
Signs will be posted to help guide you.
If you're out late Friday night or early Saturday morning, just plan for extra time and follow the detour signs. The crews are trying to do this work when there's less traffic to minimize the impact on all of us.
