Drivers traveling through the US 101/SR 25 project area should be alert for ongoing construction activity during the week of August 23–29.

Construction Activities

Crews are scheduled to perform roadway, drainage, electrical, and structural work throughout the project area, including:

  • Sunday, August 23: Continued concrete curing on the Southbound 101-Eastbound 25 Connector.
  • Evening of Monday to Early Morning August 24-25: Overnight roadway excavation is scheduled 7:00 PM- 6:00 AM
  • August 24–28: 
    • Crews will dig, level, and prepare the roadway for new pavement.
    • Electrical, drainage, and irrigation work.
    • Structural work, including removing temporary supports (a.k.a. Falsework) and installing reinforcing steel along the new Southbound US 101–Eastbound SR 25 connector and the 25/101 interchange separation.
  • August 27–28: Placing and finishing the new road base along work zone sections.

Traffic Impacts

Lane and Ramp Closures

There are NO lane closures or on/off-ramp closures scheduled for this week.

Drivers should nevertheless slow down, remain alert, and watch for construction personnel, equipment, and changing conditions when traveling near the project.

Please note: Work involving the southbound US 101 off-ramp and the southbound US 101/SR 25 ramp intersection is scheduled for August 31.
