The number 1 lane will be closed in both northbound and southbound directions on US 101 nightly between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Daytime work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; overnight work hours are 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Map shows US 101 running north-south with connections to San Jose and Salinas, and SR 25 running east toward Hollister, with a traffic signal marked at the interchange.

Night Work — September 21–25 between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Crews will conduct construction activities for five consecutive nights in the median of US 101 at the interchange work zone. Crews will be digging and preparing the roadway before adding new pavement materials.

Lane Closures — September 22–25

The #1 Lane will be closed in both northbound and southbound directions of US 101:

  • Northbound US 101: The #1 inside lane closure
  • Southbound US 101: The #1 inside lane closure
  • Tuesday, September 22, through Friday, September 25
  • Nighttime: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Drivers should expect slower traffic and potential delays through the interchange during these nighttime closures. Please reduce your speed, follow posted signs and traffic-control devices, and watch for construction workers and equipment.

Other Construction Activities

Crews will also continue construction activities at several locations within the US 101/SR 25 interchange project, including:

  • Mesa Road: Permanent and temporary erosion-control work.
  • US 101/SR 25 Connector: Continued construction of drainage structures and retaining walls.
  • Route 25/101 Separation: Continued foundation and pile construction.
