What
What to Expect:
- Lane closures and night work for paving, grading, and utility installation.
- Traffic breaks (Sept. 10–12) on US 101 are coordinated with CHP to allow delivery of large bridge materials.
- Off-ramp and connector work at SR 25 and US 101, requiring temporary traffic control.
- Bridge foundation work (pile drilling and concrete pours) with heavy equipment on-site.
Key Impacts for Drivers:
- Delays expected during daytime paving (Sept. 8–13).
- Nighttime work (includes on/off ramp closures with detours) may include lane reductions and noise near the job site.
- Be prepared for short rolling stops during CHP-assisted traffic breaks.
We encourage drivers to:
- Use alternate routes when possible.
- Allow extra travel time, especially during commute hours.
- Stay alert and follow posted construction signs and reduced speed limits.

Traffic Impacts
Night Work, Southbound On/Off-Ramp Closures and Detours:
- September 8-12, between 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Monday-Friday), Southbound off and on ramps, and the Southbound # 2 Lane
Detour Route for Overnight closure of the US 101 southbound on-ramp:
- Continue north on SR 25
- Follow detour signs onto Monterey Road
- Reconnect to southbound US 101 at the Monterey Road interchange
Detour Route for Overnight closure of the US 101 southbound off-ramp:
- Continue South on US 101 to Betabel Road
- Betabel Road to Northbound US 101
- Northbound US 101 to Southbound SR 25
