A series of trees will be removed at Newhall Yard to prepare for the construction of VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Phase II Project.
Where
VTA’s Newhall Yard property located off Newhall Drive in San Jose, CA. This lot is privately owned with no public access.
When*
- The initiation of tree removal work will begin in late January and last for about 2 weeks. The General working hours will be from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
* Please note that timelines for construction activity have some inherent uncertainty and may change depending on field conditions and/or inclement weather.
What to expect
- Workers will clear/remove a series of trees in Newhall Yard.
- Work will include the following equipment: hydraulic lift, backhoes, and chainsaws.
Why
This work is necessary to help prepare for VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Phase II Project.
