Viva Calle SJ Sunday, September 13, 10am - 3pm
Explore Viva CalleSJ and Find VTA Along the Way

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Viva CalleSJ invites the community to experience San José in a whole new way with Into the Valley, a new Open Streets route through South San José. For one day, streets will become car-free spaces where people can walk, bike, skate, roll, and connect with their community while enjoying local businesses, free activities, entertainment, and three Activity Hubs at Martial Cottle Park, De Anza Park, and Cahalan Park.

Join the fun and enjoy vendors, live music, food trucks, and a chance to connect with the community. We encourage people of all ages to go check out Viva CalleSJ! This is an amazing opportunity to stay connected with nature and the community.

Viva CalleSJ is free and open to all ages, and VTA makes it easy to get to the route without worrying about traffic or parking. Use the Transit app to plan your trip, then hop on bus or light a rail and start your journey into the valley from any point along the route between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. For the latest event details and route map, visit vivacallesj.org, and check vta.org for trip-planning tools and service information.
