Learn more about how transit service planning, boarding island infrastructure, and other factors work together to improve transit performance. Also, receive insight on VTAs’ strategies to enhance transit speed with transit signal priority (TSP) technology. TSP would reduce the time transit vehicles spend stopped at traffic lights and result in a faster transit ride.
The team will also discuss the Transit Reliability Improvement and Performance System (TRIPS) project that seeks to implement a fully connected TSP system across different local jurisdictions in Santa Clara County to transform the public transportation systems into a faster, more reliable, and equitable mobility option.
