Monday Night Football Means Planning Ahead for Transit
09/27/2019

Monday Night Football comes to Levi’s Stadium on October 7, so make your transit plans now, whether you’re a football fan or not.

Because this is a weeknight game, that means the afternoon commute will be a "little" (read: “a lot”) crowded on VTA trains.  We ask that you plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to get to the game, home, or wherever you may be headed that evening.

If you’re going to the game, special service will begin after the 4th quarter, so if you leave the game early, please know that VTA light rail will run its regular service every 15 minutes.  After the 4th quarter, trains will run as often as needed to serve the crowds at the station.

Planned reroutes for bus include routes 140, 330 and 200.  Lines 55, 57, 60, 121, 321 & Light Rail Service may experience delays due to an increased number of passengers and vehicle traffic during the p.m. commute near the Great America area in Santa Clara.

ACE Shuttle Time Adjustment

Due to street closures and traffic congestion for a Levi’s Stadium event, all VTA ACE Shuttles will operate P.M. shuttle service 20 minutes EARLIER than the printed times in the current ACE Shuttle brochure. The shuttles will pick up customers at all of the regular bus stops along the shuttle route. Customers will need to arrive at their stop 20 minutes earlier than the regular posted schedule times on this day only.

VTA Light Rail will operate its normal weekday schedule on this date and is an alternative for P.M. shuttle passengers who have easy access to VTA Light Rail.
