Bus Service to Replace One Train for Three Weekends for Energization Testing 

As part of the electrification of Caltrain, energization testing is planned for the weekends of October 22-23, 29-30, and November 5-6, between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. Riders planning on taking the first northbound train (Train # 221) of the day from Tamien, San Jose Diridon or Santa Clara Stations can take the free VTA bus service to Lawrence Station, where they can board the train. 

Riders are advised to check the revised schedule for the affected weekends to ensure they get to their destination on time. The northbound bus departs 17 minutes earlier from Tamien Station, 16 minutes earlier from San Jose Diridon Station and 12 minutes earlier from Santa Clara Station and will arrive at Lawrence Station five minutes before the train is scheduled to depart. The train will depart from Lawrence Station and all stations north at the regularly scheduled time.

Please look for the Lawrence Caltrain Bus stop at each station. The VTA bus will pick up passengers at San Jose Diridon Station in its bus transit center near HWY 17 bus.

The second northbound Train #225 will operate on regular schedule. Clipper card users can tap on at Lawrence Station if they plan to continue to travel north.
