Walk, Bike, Skate, or Roll to Find VTA at Viva CalleSJ

Viva CalleSJ returns on Sunday, April 19, 2026, turning East San José streets into car-free corridors for walking, biking, skating, and rolling. This year’s Eastside Quest route links Mexican Heritage Plaza to Alum Rock Village and Cimarron Park to Fernish Park, with activity hubs, live music, local food, and community organizations along the way.

Stop by the Alum Rock Village Hub to meet the VTA and BART Silicon Valley team, learn about upcoming projects, and share your feedback on local transit. It is a great opportunity to ask questions about future service, station access, and connections that matter most to your neighborhood.

Viva CalleSJ is free and open to all ages, and VTA makes it easy to get to the route without worrying about traffic or parking. Use the Transit app to plan your trip, then hop on bus or light a rail and start your Eastside Quest from any point along the route between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. For the latest event details and route map, visit vivacallesj.org, and check vta.org for trip-planning tools and service information.
