Friday March 18th is VTA Transit Driver Appreciation Day!  Yes, it is Transit Driver Appreciation Day all over America today, but in Santa Clara County, the Board of Supervisors (thank you Supervisor Lee) specifically proclaimed today OUR day.

At VTA, we appreciate our drivers every day, but today we wanted to show a little extra love with goodie bags for each driver as they headed out the door starting at 3:30 this morning to take you, our passengers, where you need to go.

VTA bus and light rail operators are a special bunch, serving the community every day, rain or shine, during healthy times and during pandemics. We want our operators to know we appreciate them, and we hope you will let them know too.  A smile, a wave, a “thanks for the ride” all go a long way to show support. And don’t forget to say Happy Transit Drivers Appreciation Day!
