VTA’s BART Phase II Project is a six-mile extension of BART into downtown San Jose and Santa Clara, utilizing an innovative single-bore tunneling methodology that minimizes construction disruptions. The project will include four stations - with three underground and one above - a five-mile subway tunnel, and a maintenance facility.
