VTA will offer free rides on all buses and light rail starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, through 5 a.m. on Thursday, January 1.

EXTENDED SERVICE ON RAPID 500
Rapid 500 will operate extended hours between San Jose Diridon, Downtown San Jose and Berryessa BART. The last northbound bus will depart San Jose Diridon at 12:27 a.m. and the last southbound bus will depart Berryessa BART at 3:10 a.m.

EXTENDED SERVICE ON LIGHT RAIL
Blue Line will be extended to offer later service between Santa Teresa and Baypointe. The last northbound train will depart Santa Teresa at 1:28 a.m., terminating at Civic Center. The last southbound train will depart Baypointe at 1:20 a.m.
Green Line will offer its regular service between Winchester and Old Ironsides. It will also be extended to offer later service terminating at Baypointe instead of Old Ironsides. The last northbound train will depart Winchester at 1:45 a.m., terminating at Civic Center. The last southbound train from Old Ironsides will depart at 11:43 p.m., while the last southbound train from Baypointe will depart at 1:23 a.m.
Orange Line will be extended to offer later service between Baypointe and Alum Rock. The last eastbound train will depart Baypointe at 12:29 a.m. The last westbound train will depart Alum Rock at 12:58 a.m.

SUMMARY OF ROUTES 200, 201, 202 & 203 on New Year’s Eve
Route 200 will operate as normal.
Route 201 & 202 will be canceled.
Route 203, 1st trip (12.14 a.m.) will be canceled, 2nd trip (12.59 a.m.) will operate normally. An additional trip (1.27 a.m.) will be added.

VTA will run a regular weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve and a Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day. We encourage riders to plan early by using VTA’s Trip Planner, Transit App, or by checking vta.org for real-time updates.
