Notice of Geotechnical Work along Diridon 6/10 - 6/14

• Contractors will be conducting subsurface explorations around the future Diridon Station to help prepare for VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Phase II Project.  

Where

• The work will take place in the parking lot in front of the SAP Center, along Santa Clara St, and between Cahill St. and Montgomery St.

When

• Work is planned for Mon. June 3 – Fri. June 7.
• General working hours will be 7:00AM-5:00 PM. 

* Please note that timelines for construction activity have some inherent uncertainty and may change depending on field conditions and/or inclement weather.

What to Expect

• The work activity will be completed with a truck-mounted, mud rotary drill rig and support water truck.
• There will be periodic, repetitive hammering during soil sampling. 
• The work does not typically generate dust. 
• The work area will be delineated by barricades and caution tape. About 10 to 15 parking spots may be blocked.
