🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: U.S. 101 / State Route 25 Interchange Improvement Project
Week of November 2 – 8, 2025 🚧
Location: Gilroy, near the U.S. 101/SR 25 Interchange
What to Expect
- Bridge and Earthwork Activities: Crews will continue concrete and excavation work at the future connector bridge between U.S. 101 and SR 25. Work includes forming and reinforcing bridge columns and removing surcharge material near Abutment 3.
- Drainage System Installation: Installation of new drainage structures will continue along the R5 Line and D7 Line areas, east of U.S. 101 near the railroad tracks.
- Electrical Work: Columbia Electric crews will be on site installing electrical systems and conduit throughout the interchange.
Work Hours
- Daytime work: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Night work: None scheduled this week.
- Weather permitting.

VTA continues work on the U.S. 101/SR 25 Interchange Improvement Project. Construction activities will remain active throughout the week, with crews performing bridge, drainage, and electrical work in the area.
Please slow down and follow posted signs when traveling through the construction zone. Be alert for workers and equipment operating near the roadway.
- There are NO on/off-ramp closures or detours planned for the next two weeks.
- Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures and construction vehicles entering or exiting the site along SR 25 and local access roads near the interchange.
- Reduced speeds and minor delays are possible during active work hours.
