Skip the drive, grab your family and friends, and take your 4th of July celebration to Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose hosted by District 8 Councilmember, Domingo Candelas. Join VTA and your community for a fun-filled day full of activities, music, yummy food, and a striking display of fireworks!

There will be no event parking at Lake Cunningham on July 4th, so VTA is your stress-free way to celebrate.  Hopping on VTA Bus Routes 22, 26, 31, 39, 70, 77, 103, or Rapid 522 will make this year’s celebration easy-peasy! Make sure to get off at the Eastridge Transit Center, as shuttles will be available to transport you to/from Lake Cunningham Park between 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

To make your trip even smoother, use the Transit app and Clipper mobile to plan your route, check schedules, and get guidance while you’re out and about. With VTA, you can focus on the fun while we handle the transportation.

Road Closures Near Lake Cunningham

Please note the following road closures scheduled for the day of the event:

• Cunningham Avenue and S. White Road – Closed between 9:00am – 11:00pm
• Tully Road – Closed between 6:00pm – 11:00pm

• All fireworks, including those labeled 'safe and sane,' are dangerous and illegal to use, own, or sell in Santa Clara County.
• Fireworks can cause serious injuries and increase the risk of devastating fires and property damage in our county.
