The 6-hour training program is a hybrid experience that combines classroom and field learning. Participants will begin with classroom instruction led by VTA staff, during which they will learn about transit basics, fare options, safety, and other important topics.

After covering all the material, participants will apply what they’ve learned by taking a trip using VTA's transit services to a designated destination. The overall goal of the program is to empower participants to share their knowledge, enabling them to better serve their clients and help seniors utilize transit for their travel needs.

Can’t attend the July 10 event? The senior outreach program will host another event in the fall. If you have any questions on the upcoming event or other senior outreach services, visit www.vta.org/seniors, or call 408-321-2300 for assistance.
