The Project includes constructing a new overcrossing above US 101 connecting Zanker Road on the north with Fourth Street and Skyport Drive on the south, replacing nonstandard ramps on northbound US 101 at Old Bayshore Highway and Brokaw Road with new ramps at Bering Drive, widening local roadways to accommodate the overcrossing and ramp modifications, and incorporating bicycle and pedestrian facilities into the project design.
A Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)/Environmental Assessment (EA) for this Project was circulated for review between December 29, 2023 and February 16, 2024. A Final EIR/EA was prepared and includes responses to comments received during the public comment period. Caltrans certified the Final EIR/EA and filed a Notice of Determination for the Project with the State Clearinghouse (SCH 2021100033) on September 5, 2025.
