Here's What You Told Us You Wanted: Monterey Corridor Community-Based Transportation Plan
05/09/2023

VTA and City of San Jose staff will host two community meetings (May 17 & 18) to share public comments and suggestions gathered last fall on how to improve the Monterey Road Corridor.

Please join us in person May 17 or on Zoom May 18 to see the proposed designs, ask questions, and provide feedback on how to improve transportation along Monterey Road between Blossom Hill and Alma Avenue. (View the upcoming Round 2 meeting notice)

In fall 2022, the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) along with the City of San Jose Department of Transportation (DOT) hosted two in-person community workshops, to review and collaborate on the Monterey Road Corridor Community-Based Transportation Plan (CBTP), and find out what specific challenges the communities and businesses face regarding daily travels and what they think might help solve them.

Projects in the final plan may address community concerns such as bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, public transportation amenities like new bus shelters, local roads, and street improvements, and/or the integration of new technologies with transportation.
