Build Effective Partnerships

Build shared understandings and common ground with various community development stakeholders including local jurisdictions, developers, community, and other institutions to support equitable Transit Oriented Communities and sustainable development that maximizes access and mobility options.

Partnership with community means an ongoing relationship with community members, integration of community expertise, review of existing disparate outcomes, and increasing equitable outcomes. Working together at the earliest stage in the land use and development process serves to maximize the synergy between land use and transportation.

Collaboration across partners also includes continuously improving communications, coordination, and understanding between VTA and its partners about successfully integrating development near transit services safely and compatibly.
